Preparation

Tequila Infusion

1. Infuse the Tequila

Slice the jalapeños in half lengthwise (removing seeds if you prefer less heat) and add them to a glass jar. Pour the tequila over the jalapeños, seal the jar, and let it sit in a cool, dark place for at least 24 hours, but up to 3 days for a spicier infusion.

Preparing the Cocktail

2. Prepare the Spicy Rim

In a small plate, mix the coarse sea salt, chili powder, and smoked paprika. Rub a lime wedge around the rim of your glass and then dip the rim into the spicy salt mixture to coat it thoroughly.

3. Mix the Drink

In a cocktail shaker, combine 60 ml of the jalapeño-infused tequila, fresh grapefruit juice, agave syrup, and fresh lime juice. Fill the shaker with ice and shake vigorously for about 15 seconds.

4. Serve the Cocktail

Strain the mixture into the prepared glass filled with fresh ice. Garnish with a lime wedge and a slice of jalapeño.
