Preparing the Burger Patty

1. Mix the Ingredients

In a mixing bowl, combine the Kobe beef, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Mix gently but thoroughly until all ingredients are combined.

2. Form the Patties

Divide the mixture into two equal portions and shape them into patties, approximately ¾ inch thick. Make a slight indentation in the center of each patty to prevent them from puffing up while cooking.

Cooking the Burger

3. Preheat the Grill

Preheat your grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Optionally, lightly oil the grill grates to prevent sticking.

4. Cook the Patties

Place the formed patties on the grill. Cook for about 4-5 minutes on one side. Flip the patties and immediately place a slice of cheddar cheese on each patty. Cook for an additional 4-5 minutes or until the cheese is melted and the burger is cooked to your desired doneness.

Assembling the Burger

5. Prepare the Bun

While the patties are cooking, slice the burger buns in half and toast them lightly on the grill or in a toaster.

6. Build the Burger

On the bottom half of each toasted bun, layer lettuce, the cooked Kobe beef patty with melted cheese, tomato slices, red onion rings, pickles, ketchup, and mustard. Top with the other half of the bun.
