Hummus Preparation

Prepare the Chickpeas
Drain and rinse the canned chickpeas under cold water to remove excess sodium.

Blend the Ingredients
In a food processor, combine the rinsed chickpeas, tahini, garlic cloves (peeled), fresh lemon juice, olive oil, ground cumin, salt, and water.

Process Until Smooth
Blend the mixture on high speed until smooth and creamy, scraping down the sides as necessary. If it’s too thick, add an additional tablespoon of water.

Serve
Transfer the hummus to a serving bowl, drizzle with olive oil, and sprinkle paprika on top.
Pita Bread Preparation

Preheat the Oven
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).

Prepare the Pita Bread
Place the pita bread on a baking sheet. Brush lightly with olive oil and sprinkle with a pinch of salt.

Bake the Pita Bread
Bake in the preheated oven for about 5-7 minutes, or until the pita bread is warm and slightly crispy.

Cut and Serve
Remove from the oven, let it cool slightly, then cut into triangles for serving alongside the hummus.
