Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) to ensure it's hot enough for baking.

In a large mixing bowl, cream together the unsalted butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until smooth and fluffy.

Mix Dry Ingredients
In a separate bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking soda, and salt until evenly mixed.

Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined. Do not overmix.

Fold in the chocolate chips until they are evenly distributed throughout the dough.
Baking

Scoop the Dough
Use a tablespoon or cookie scoop to portion out the dough onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, spacing them about 2 inches apart.

Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown but the centers are still soft.
