Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Meatballs

In a large bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, egg, minced garlic, chopped parsley, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.

  2. 2

    Form the Meatballs

Shape the mixture into meatballs, about 1 inch in diameter.

  3. 3

    Cook the Meatballs

In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add meatballs and cook until browned on all sides. Remove and set aside.

  4. 4

    Make the Sauce

In the same skillet, add crushed tomatoes, oregano, basil, and sugar. Stir well and bring to a simmer.

  5. 5

    Combine Meatballs and Sauce

Add the browned meatballs back into the skillet with the sauce. Simmer for about 15 minutes until the meatballs are cooked through.

  6. 6

    Cook the Ziti

Meanwhile, cook ziti pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

  7. 7

Combine Ziti with Meatballs and Sauce

Add the cooked ziti to the skillet with the meatballs and sauce. Toss to combine and heat through.

  8. 8

    Serve

Serve hot, garnished with additional Parmesan cheese and parsley if desired.
