Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Cook the Pasta

In a large pot of salted boiling water, add the linguine pasta. Cook according to package instructions until al dente, usually about 8-10 minutes. Once cooked, reserve 1 cup of pasta water and drain the rest.

  2. 2

    Prepare the Sauce

In a large skillet over medium heat, melt the butter. Add minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant, being careful not to burn it.

  3. 3

    Combine Cream and Cheeses

Pour the heavy cream into the skillet with garlic and bring to a gentle simmer. Gradually whisk in the grated Parmesan and Romano cheeses until melted and smooth. If the sauce is too thick, add reserved pasta water a little at a time until desired consistency is reached.

  4. 4

    Season the Sauce

Season the sauce with salt and freshly ground black pepper. Taste and adjust seasoning if necessary.

  5. 5

    Combine Pasta and Sauce

Add the cooked linguine to the cheese sauce, tossing to coat the pasta evenly. Cook for an additional 1-2 minutes to heat through.

  6. 6

    Serve

Serve immediately, garnished with chopped parsley and additional grated cheese if desired.
