In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, cornmeal, paprika, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Set aside.

Coat the Shrimp
Dip each shrimp first into the egg mixture, then dredge in the flour mixture, ensuring they are well coated. Place the coated shrimp on a baking sheet.
Frying the Shrimp

Heat the Oil
In a large, deep skillet or fryer, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).

Prepare the Potatoes
Wash and peel the potatoes. Cut them into thin strips to form fries.

Rinse the cut fries in cold water to remove excess starch. Pat them dry with paper towels to ensure they are not soggy.

In a separate large pot, heat the vegetable oil to 350°F (175°C) for frying the fries.
