Directions
- 1
Prepare the French Fries
Preheat your oven according to the instructions on the frozen french fries package. Spread the fries on a baking sheet and drizzle with olive oil. Season with salt and black pepper. Bake in the preheated oven for about 20-25 minutes or until golden and crispy.
- 2
Heat the Clam Chowder
While the fries are baking, pour the clam chowder into a saucepan over medium heat. Stir occasionally until the chowder is heated through, approximately 5-7 minutes. Make sure it does not boil.
- 3
Prepare the Toppings
Cook the bacon until crispy, then crumble it into bite-sized pieces. Slice the scallions thinly, using both the white and green parts.
- 4
Assemble the Chowder Fries
Once the fries are done baking, remove them from the oven. Pour the heated clam chowder generously over the fries. Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese evenly on top, followed by the crumbled bacon and sliced scallions.
- 5
Serve
Serve the chowder fries immediately while hot, with extra clam chowder on the side if desired.
