Cooking Directions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Broccoli

Bring 1 cup of water to a boil in a large pot. Add the broccoli florets to the boiling water and cover with a lid. Steam the broccoli for about 5-7 minutes until tender but still bright green. Remove from heat and drain any excess water.

  2. 2

    Make the Hollandaise Sauce

In a small saucepan, melt the butter over low heat. Once melted, set aside to cool slightly. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the egg yolks and lemon juice until pale and frothy. Gradually add the melted butter to the egg mixture while continuously whisking to emulsify. The sauce should thicken slightly. If it becomes too thick, add a teaspoon of warm water to thin it out. Season with salt and a pinch of cayenne pepper.

  3. 3

    Combine and Serve

Place the steamed broccoli on a serving plate and drizzle the hollandaise sauce over the top. Serve immediately and enjoy!
