Meatballs

Tomato Sauce

Method

Prepare Meatballs

  1. 1

    Mix Ingredients

In a large bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, egg, minced garlic, chopped parsley, paprika, salt, and black pepper. Mix until well combined.

  2. 2

    Form Meatballs

Shape the mixture into meatballs, about 1 inch in diameter, and place them on a baking sheet.

  3. 3

    Bake Meatballs

Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Bake the meatballs for 20 minutes, or until they are browned and cooked through.

Prepare Tomato Sauce

  1. 4

    Sauté Onions and Garlic

In a large saucepan, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add chopped onion and sauté until translucent, about 5 minutes. Add minced garlic and sauté for an additional minute.

  2. 5

    Add Tomatoes and Seasonings

Stir in the canned crushed tomatoes, dried oregano, salt, and black pepper. Bring to a simmer and cook for 15 minutes, stirring occasionally.

  3. 6

    Combine Meatballs with Sauce

Once the meatballs are done baking, gently add them to the tomato sauce. Allow them to simmer together for an additional 5 minutes.

  4. 7

    Add Gorgonzola

Stir in the crumbled gorgonzola cheese into the sauce and meatballs, allowing it to melt slightly before serving.
