Method

Prepare Coffee

  1. 1

    Brew Espresso

Brew 2 shots of espresso using your espresso machine. If you don't have an espresso machine, you can use a strong coffee brew method.

  2. 2

    Prepare Hot Water

In a separate container, heat 60 ml of water until it's just below boiling.

Make Chocolate Mixture

  1. 3

    Combine Cocoa and Sugar

In a small bowl, mix 2 tablespoons of cocoa powder and 1 tablespoon of sugar together. This will help distribute the sugar evenly.

  2. 4

    Heat Milk

In a small saucepan, heat 200 ml of milk over medium heat. Do not let it boil.

  3. 5

    Mix Cocoa and Milk

Once the milk is heated, add the cocoa and sugar mixture to the milk. Whisk continuously until the cocoa and sugar are fully dissolved and the mixture is smooth.

Combine and Serve

  1. 6

    Combine Espresso and Chocolate Mixture

In a large mug, pour the brewed espresso over the chocolate mixture. Stir gently to combine.

  2. 7

    Top with Whipped Cream

Add 50 ml of whipped cream on top of the mocha.

  3. 8

    Garnish

Sprinkle 1 tablespoon of chocolate shavings over the whipped cream for garnish.

  4. 9

    Serve

Serve hot and enjoy your homemade mocha!
