Prepare the Ingredients
Gather all the ingredients and wash the lettuce and tomato. Slice the tomato into thin rounds.

Spread Condiments
Spread mayonnaise on one slice of bread and mustard on another slice.

Layer Ingredients
On the slice with mayonnaise, layer lettuce, tomato, cheese, deli meat, pickles, and season with salt and pepper.

Top and Serve
Place the other slice of bread on top, cut the sandwich in half if desired, and serve immediately.
