Baby Back Ribs
Method
Preparation and Cooking
- 1
Prepare the Ribs
Remove the membrane from the back of the ribs and pat them dry with paper towels.
- 2
Mix the Rub
In a bowl, combine brown sugar, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, black pepper, and cayenne pepper. Mix well.
- 3
Season the Ribs
Rub the spice mixture generously over both sides of the ribs. Wrap the ribs in plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, preferably overnight.
- 4
Slow Cook the Ribs
Preheat your slow cooker. Place the ribs in the slow cooker, standing them upright if possible. Add apple cider vinegar for moisture. Cook on low for 6-8 hours until tender.
- 5
Glaze with Barbecue Sauce
In the last 30 minutes of cooking, brush the ribs with barbecue sauce and let them cook uncovered to caramelize the sauce.
- 6
Serve
Remove the ribs from the slow cooker and let them rest for a few minutes before slicing. Serve with extra barbecue sauce on the side.
