Directions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Tortillas

In a bowl, mix masa harina with water and a pinch of salt to form a dough. Divide into balls and flatten using a tortilla press or rolling pin. Cook on a hot skillet for 1-2 minutes on each side until golden and cooked through.

  2. 2

    Cook the Meat

In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the pork and beef, breaking them apart. Stir in chili powder, cumin, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Cook until the meat is browned and cooked through, about 8-10 minutes.

  3. 3

    Assemble the Dish

Place a warm tortilla on a plate. Add a generous portion of the spicy meat mixture, followed by shredded mozzarella cheese and chopped romaine lettuce. Top with another tortilla if desired.

  4. 4

    Serve

Serve immediately while warm, optionally with salsa or avocado on the side.
