Biscuit and Toppings
Method
Preparation and Cooking
- 1
Make the Biscuits
Preheat your oven to 450°F (232°C). In a large bowl, mix together the flour, baking powder, and salt. Cut in the butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Stir in the milk until just combined. Do not overmix.
- 2
Shape and Bake
Turn the dough onto a floured surface and gently knead it a few times. Pat it into a 1-inch thick round and cut out biscuits using a biscuit cutter. Place them on a baking sheet and bake for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown.
- 3
Cook the Meat
While the biscuits are baking, cook your choice of sausage, bacon, or ham in a skillet over medium heat until cooked through and crispy. Remove and set aside.

Assemble the Biscuit Sandwich
Once the biscuits are done, split them in half. On the bottom half, layer the cooked meat, a fried egg, and a generous sprinkle of shredded cheddar cheese. Top with the other half of the biscuit.
