Method

Chicken Strips

1

Prepare Chicken

Cut the boneless chicken breasts into strips, about 1 inch wide.

2

Marinate Chicken

Soak the chicken strips in buttermilk for at least 30 minutes in the refrigerator.

3

Prepare Breading

In a bowl, mix together the flour, cornstarch, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and paprika.

4

Heat Oil

In a large pot or deep fryer, heat the vegetable oil to 350°F (175°C).

5

Bread Chicken

Remove chicken strips from the buttermilk and allow excess to drip off. Dredge each strip in the flour mixture, ensuring they are evenly coated.

6

Fry Chicken

Carefully place the breaded chicken strips into the hot oil, frying in batches to avoid overcrowding. Fry for 5-7 minutes, or until golden brown and cooked through.

7

Drain Chicken

Remove the fried chicken strips and place them on a plate lined with paper towels to drain excess oil.

Tip Top Sauce

8

Mix Ingredients

In a small bowl, combine the mayonnaise, hot sauce, honey, lemon juice, and garlic powder.

9

Whisk Together

Whisk the ingredients together until smooth and well combined.

10

Adjust to Taste

Taste the sauce and adjust seasoning with more hot sauce or honey as desired.
