Method

Preparing the Ribs

  1. 1

    Marinate the Ribs

In a large bowl, combine olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, cayenne pepper, brown sugar, salt, and black pepper. Rub the spice mixture generously over the pork ribs, ensuring they are well coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight.

  2. 2

    Cook the Ribs

Preheat your grill or oven to 150°C (300°F). Place the marinated ribs on a baking sheet or grill, and cover with foil. Cook for about 2.5-3 hours, or until the ribs are tender. Remove the foil and brush the BBQ sauce over the ribs. Increase the heat to 200°C (400°F) and cook for an additional 30 minutes, basting with more BBQ sauce halfway through.

Preparing the Fries

  1. 3

    Cut the Potatoes

Wash and peel the potatoes. Cut them into thin strips to resemble fries.

  2. 4

    Bake the Fries

Preheat the oven to 220°C (425°F). Toss the potato strips in a bowl with olive oil and salt. Spread them evenly on a baking sheet. Bake for 25-30 minutes, turning halfway through, until golden and crispy.

Preparing the Coleslaw

  1. 5

    Chop the Vegetables

Finely shred the green cabbage and grate the carrot. Place them in a large mixing bowl.

  2. 6

    Mix the Dressing

In a separate bowl, combine mayonnaise, apple cider vinegar, sugar, salt, and black pepper. Whisk until smooth.

  3. 7

    Combine and Serve

Pour the dressing over the cabbage and carrot mixture. Toss until everything is evenly coated. Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes before serving to allow the flavors to meld.
