Main Ingredients

Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Ribeye

Season the ribeye steak with salt, black pepper, and garlic powder on both sides. Rub with olive oil to ensure even seasoning.

  2. 2

    Cook the Ribeye

In a skillet over medium-high heat, sear the ribeye steak for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or until desired doneness. Remove from heat and let it rest for 5 minutes before slicing thinly.

Assembling the Sandwich

  1. 3

    Toast the Rolls

Lightly toast the sub sandwich rolls in the oven or a toaster until golden brown.

  2. 4

    Layer the Ingredients

On the bottom half of each toasted roll, layer thin slices of the cooked ribeye, followed by a slice of provolone cheese, roasted red peppers, and fried onions.

  3. 5

    Melt the Cheese

Place the assembled sandwiches under a broiler for 1-2 minutes, or until the provolone cheese is melted and bubbly.

Serving

  1. 6

    Serve Hot

Remove the sandwiches from the broiler, add the top half of the rolls, and serve immediately while hot.
