Method

Preparing the Filet Mignon

  1. 1

    Wrap the Filet Mignon

Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Season each filet mignon with salt and black pepper. Wrap each steak with two slices of bacon and secure with toothpicks or kitchen twine.

  2. 2

    Sear the Steaks

In a skillet over medium-high heat, add a little oil and sear the bacon-wrapped filets for about 3-4 minutes on each side until the bacon is crispy.

  3. 3

    Bake the Steaks

Transfer the seared filets to the preheated oven and bake for 10-15 minutes for medium-rare, or until the desired doneness is reached.

Making Mashed Potatoes

  1. 4

    Cook the Potatoes

Peel and chop the potatoes into even pieces. Place them in a pot of salted water and bring to a boil. Cook for about 15-20 minutes until tender.

  2. 5

    Mash the Potatoes

Drain the potatoes and return them to the pot. Add butter, milk, garlic powder, and salt. Mash until smooth and creamy.

Preparing Seasonal Vegetables

  1. 6

    Prepare the Asparagus

Trim the ends of the asparagus and toss them in a bowl with olive oil and salt.

  2. 7

    Cook the Asparagus

In a skillet over medium heat, sauté the asparagus for about 5-7 minutes until tender yet crisp.
