Method

Crab Cakes

  1. 1

    Prepare the Crab Cake Mixture

In a large bowl, combine the fresh lump crab meat, mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, Old Bay seasoning, and egg. Mix gently to avoid breaking the crab meat.

  2. 2

    Add Bread Crumbs

Slowly fold in the bread crumbs and season with salt and black pepper. Mix until just combined.

  3. 3

    Form Crab Cakes

Shape the mixture into patties, about 1-inch thick. You should be able to make around 4 cakes.

  4. 4

    Cook the Crab Cakes

Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add the crab cakes and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side until golden brown. Remove and set aside.

Sunny Side Up Eggs

  1. 5

    Heat the Skillet

In a clean skillet, melt the butter over medium-low heat.

  2. 6

    Cook the Eggs

Crack the eggs into the skillet, taking care not to break the yolks. Cook for about 2-3 minutes or until the whites are set but the yolks remain runny. Season with salt and black pepper to taste.

Home Fries

  1. 7

    Prepare the Potatoes

Peel and dice the potatoes into small cubes. Rinse and drain them.

  2. 8

    Cook the Potatoes

In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add diced potatoes and cook for about 10-15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until they are golden and crispy.

  3. 9

    Add Onion and Bell Pepper

Add diced onion and bell pepper to the skillet and cook for an additional 5 minutes until the vegetables are tender. Season with salt and black pepper to taste.

Toast

  1. 10

    Toast the Bread

While the crab cakes and home fries are cooking, toast the slices of bread to your desired level of crispness.
