Chicken Preparation

Method

Chicken Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Chicken

Start by cutting the boneless chicken breasts into strips, about 1 inch wide. Place the strips in a bowl and season with salt and black pepper. Toss to ensure all chicken pieces are evenly coated with the seasoning.

Breading

  1. 2

    Set Up Breading Station

In three separate shallow dishes, set up your breading station. In the first dish, place the all-purpose flour. In the second dish, beat the eggs until combined. In the third dish, mix together the breadcrumbs, paprika, garlic powder, and grated Parmesan cheese.

  2. 3

    Coat the Chicken

Take each chicken strip and first dredge it in the flour, shaking off any excess. Then dip it into the beaten eggs, allowing any excess to drip off. Finally, coat the chicken strip in the breadcrumb mixture, pressing gently to adhere. Repeat the process for all chicken strips.

Frying

  1. 4

    Heat the Oil

In a large skillet, heat the cooking oil over medium-high heat until hot but not smoking. You can test if the oil is ready by dipping the end of a wooden spoon into the oil; if bubbles form around it, the oil is hot enough.

  2. 5

    Fry the Chicken Tenders

Carefully add the breaded chicken strips to the hot oil in batches, making sure not to overcrowd the skillet. Fry for about 4-5 minutes on each side or until golden brown and cooked through. Use a slotted spoon to transfer the cooked chicken tenders to a plate lined with paper towels to drain excess oil.

Serving

  1. 6

    Serve

Once all chicken tenders are cooked, serve them hot with your favorite dipping sauce on the side. Enjoy your homemade chicken tenders!
