Chicken Preparation

Prep the Chicken
Season the chicken breasts with salt and black pepper on both sides.

Breading Process
Set up a breading station with three shallow dishes: one with flour, one with beaten eggs, and one with breadcrumbs. Dredge each chicken breast in flour, dip in eggs, and coat with breadcrumbs.

Fry the Chicken
In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Once hot, add the breaded chicken breasts and cook for about 5-7 minutes on each side or until golden brown and cooked through. Remove from heat and place on a paper towel-lined plate.

Cook Sauce
Add the crushed tomatoes, dried basil, salt, black pepper, and sugar. Stir well and let it simmer for about 15-20 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Spaghetti Cooking

Boil Water
In a large pot, bring 4 quarts of water to a boil. Add 1 tablespoon of salt.

Cook Spaghetti
Add the spaghetti to the boiling water and cook according to package instructions until al dente, usually about 8-10 minutes. Drain and set aside.
Garlic Bread Preparation

Prepare Garlic Butter
In a small bowl, mix softened butter, minced garlic, and chopped parsley until well combined.

Toast the Bread
Place the bread under the broiler for 2-3 minutes until golden and crispy. Watch closely to avoid burning.
Assembly

Assemble Dish
Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Place the fried chicken breasts in a baking dish, top each with marinara sauce, and sprinkle provolone cheese on top. Bake for 15 minutes until the cheese is melted and bubbly.

Serve the chicken parmesan over a bed of spaghetti with a side of garlic bread.
