Method
Prepare the Chicken
- 1
Chicken Preparation
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Slice the chicken breasts in half horizontally to create thinner cutlets.
- 2
Breading Station
Set up a breading station with three shallow bowls: one with flour, one with beaten eggs, and another with a mixture of breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
- 3
Bread the Chicken
Dredge each chicken cutlet in flour, then dip into the egg, and finally coat with the breadcrumb mixture. Ensure each piece is fully coated.
- 4
Fry the Chicken
In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Fry the breaded chicken cutlets for about 3-4 minutes on each side, or until golden brown. Place the fried chicken on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.
Assemble the Sliders
- 5
Prepare the Buns
Slice the slider buns in half and place the bottom halves on a baking sheet.
- 6
Add Chicken and Sauce
On each bottom half of the buns, place a piece of fried chicken, spoon marinara sauce over the top, and sprinkle shredded mozzarella cheese.
- 7
Melt the Cheese
Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake for about 10 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- 8
Finish the Sliders
Remove from the oven, add fresh basil leaves on top of the cheese, and place the top halves of the buns over the sliders.
