Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Potatoes

Peel and dice the potatoes into small cubes. Rinse them under cold water to remove excess starch.

  2. 2

    Sauté the Vegetables

Dice the onion and bell pepper. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add onion and bell pepper, sauté for about 5 minutes until softened.

Cooking

  1. 3

    Cook the Potatoes

Add the diced potatoes to the skillet with the sautéed onions and bell peppers. Season with salt, black pepper, and garlic powder. Stir well.

  2. 4

    Fry the Hash

Spread the mixture evenly in the skillet and cook for about 15-20 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the potatoes are golden brown and crispy.

  3. 5

    Add Swiss Cheese

Once the hash is cooked, sprinkle Swiss cheese evenly over the top. Cover the skillet with a lid and let the cheese melt for about 3-5 minutes.

Serving

  1. 6

    Serve Hot

Remove from heat and serve the hash warm, garnished with additional herbs if desired.
