Method
Preparation
- 1
Prepare the Chorizo
In a skillet over medium heat, add the chorizo sausage. Cook for about 5-7 minutes, breaking it apart with a spatula until it is browned and cooked through.
- 2
Slice the Jalapenos
While the chorizo is cooking, wash and slice the jalapenos. You can remove the seeds for less heat, or leave them in for a spicier kick.
- 3
Grate the Cheddar Cheese
Using a cheese grater, grate the cheddar cheese and set it aside.
Assembly
- 4
Combine Ingredients
Once the chorizo is cooked, add the sliced jalapenos directly into the skillet with the chorizo. Stir to combine and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes.
- 5
Add Salsa
Pour the salsa over the chorizo and jalapeno mixture. Stir until everything is evenly coated and heated through, about 2 more minutes.
- 6
Top with Cheddar Cheese
Sprinkle the grated cheddar cheese over the mixture in the skillet. Cover with a lid to allow the cheese to melt for about 2-3 minutes.
- 7
Serve with Sriracha
Once the cheese is melted, remove from heat and transfer to a serving dish. Drizzle with sriracha sauce to taste before serving.
