Method

Crust Preparation

  1. 1

    Preheat the Oven

Preheat your oven to 325°F (163°C).

  2. 2

    Combine Crust Ingredients

In a medium bowl, mix together the graham cracker crumbs, granulated sugar, and melted unsalted butter until well combined.

  3. 3

    Form the Crust

Press the mixture firmly into the bottom of a 9-inch springform pan to create an even layer.

  4. 4

    Bake the Crust

Bake the crust in the preheated oven for about 10 minutes. Remove from oven and let it cool while you prepare the filling.

Filling Preparation

  1. 5

    Beat the Cream Cheese

In a large mixing bowl, beat the cream cheese with an electric mixer on medium speed until smooth and creamy.

  2. 6

    Add Sugar and Vanilla

Gradually add in the granulated sugar and vanilla extract, beating until fully incorporated.

  3. 7

    Incorporate Eggs

Add the eggs one at a time, mixing on low speed after each addition until just combined.

  4. 8

Mix in Sour Cream and Flour

Add the sour cream and all-purpose flour to the mixture, and mix on low speed until smooth.

  5. 9

    Pour Filling into Crust

Pour the cheesecake filling over the cooled crust, smoothing the top with a spatula.

  6. 10

    Bake the Cheesecake

Bake in the preheated oven for 50-60 minutes, or until the center is set but slightly jiggly.

  7. 11

    Cool the Cheesecake

Turn off the oven and leave the cheesecake inside with the door slightly ajar for 1 hour to cool slowly.

  8. 12

    Chill Before Serving

Remove cheesecake from the oven, let it cool at room temperature for an additional hour, then refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight before serving.
