Method

Brewing the Tea

  1. 1

    Boil the Water

In a large pot, bring 4 cups of water to a rolling boil over medium-high heat.

  2. 2

    Steep the Tea

Once the water is boiling, remove it from heat and add the 4 black tea bags. Let the tea steep for 5-7 minutes, depending on your desired strength.

  3. 3

    Remove Tea Bags

After steeping, carefully remove the tea bags and discard them.

Flavoring the Tea

  1. 4

    Add Lemon Juice

Stir in 2 tablespoons of lemon juice to the brewed tea.

  2. 5

    Sweeten (Optional)

If desired, add 3 tablespoons of sugar to the tea, stirring until completely dissolved.

Chilling the Tea

  1. 6

    Cool Down

Allow the tea to cool at room temperature for about 30 minutes.

  2. 7

    Refrigerate

Once cooled, transfer the tea to a pitcher and refrigerate for at least 1 hour, or until thoroughly chilled.

Serving the Tea

  1. 8

    Serve Over Ice

Fill glasses with ice cubes and pour the chilled tea over the ice.

  2. 9

    Garnish

Garnish each glass with lemon slices and fresh mint leaves, if desired.
