Main Ingredients

Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Cook the Bacon

In a skillet over medium heat, add the bacon slices. Cook the bacon until crispy, about 4-5 minutes, turning occasionally. Once done, transfer to a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess grease.

  2. 2

    Cook the Egg

In the same skillet, with a little of the bacon grease, crack the egg into the pan. Sprinkle with salt and black pepper. Fry the egg for about 2-3 minutes, or until the whites are set, and the yolk is still runny. If you prefer a fully cooked yolk, flip the egg and cook for an additional minute.

  3. 3

    Toast the Bagel or Croissant

While the egg is cooking, slice the bagel or croissant in half and toast it until golden brown. You can use a toaster or place it in the skillet after the bacon is done.

  4. 4

    Assemble the Sandwich

Spread butter on the inside of the toasted bagel or croissant. Place the crispy bacon slices on the bottom half, followed by the fried egg. Top with a slice of cheddar cheese. Cover with the top half of the bagel or croissant.

  5. 5

    Serve

Serve immediately while warm, and enjoy your delicious bacon, egg, and cheese sandwich!
