Directions
- 1
Prepare the Tuna
Pat the tuna steaks dry with a paper towel. Season both sides with salt and black pepper.
- 2
Coat with Sesame Seeds
Spread the sesame seeds on a plate. Press each tuna steak into the sesame seeds, coating both sides evenly.
- 3
Heat the Oil
In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat until hot.
- 4
Sear the Tuna
Add the tuna steaks to the skillet and sear for about 1-2 minutes on each side, or until the sesame seeds are golden brown and the tuna is cooked to your desired doneness.
- 5
Serve
Remove the tuna from the skillet and let it rest for a minute. Drizzle with soy sauce and garnish with optional scallions or sesame oil before slicing and serving.
