Prepare the Vegetables

Finely chop the onion, carrot, celery, and garlic cloves.

Cook the Meat

In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the chopped vegetables and sauté for about 5 minutes until softened. Add the ground beef and cook until browned.

Add the Sauce Ingredients

Stir in the canned tomatoes, tomato paste, beef broth, and dried oregano. Season with salt and black pepper to taste. Bring to a simmer.

Simmer the Sauce

Reduce the heat to low and let the sauce simmer for 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Cook the Spaghetti

While the sauce is simmering, cook the spaghetti according to package instructions in a large pot of salted boiling water until al dente. Drain and set aside.

Serve the spaghetti topped with the Bolognese sauce. Garnish with fresh basil and grated parmesan cheese.
