Prepare the Steak

Season the KC strip steak with salt and pepper. Preheat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat and cook the steak for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare. Remove from heat and let it rest for 5 minutes before slicing.

Prepare the Salad Base

While the steak is resting, chop the romaine lettuce and place it in a large salad bowl. Add the roasted corn, cherry tomatoes (halved), and sunflower seeds.

Assemble the Salad

Slice the rested steak into thin strips and add it to the salad bowl. Crumble the alma cheese curds over the top and drizzle with pesto.

Serve

Toss the salad gently to combine all ingredients and serve immediately.
