Preparation Steps

1

Prepare the Chicken

Preheat your oil in a deep frying pan over medium heat. While the oil heats, take the boneless chicken breasts and place them between two sheets of plastic wrap. Gently pound them to an even thickness of about 1/2 inch.

2

Assemble the Sandwich

Once the chicken is pounded, layer 2 slices of honey ham and 1 slice of Swiss cheese on one breast, then top with the other breast to create a sandwich.

3

Bread the Chicken

Set up a breading station with three bowls: one with flour mixed with salt and pepper, one with beaten eggs, and one with bread crumbs. Dredge the chicken sandwich first in flour, then dip in the egg, and finally coat with bread crumbs, pressing down to adhere.

4

Fry the Chicken

Carefully place the breaded chicken sandwich in the hot oil. Fry for about 5-7 minutes on each side or until golden brown and cooked through. Remove from the oil and place on paper towels to drain excess oil.

5

Prepare the Bun

Toast the brioche buns lightly in a separate skillet or toaster until golden.

6

Assemble the Final Sandwich

Place the fried chicken cordon bleu on the bottom half of the toasted brioche bun, drizzle with dijon cream, and top with the other half of the bun. Serve immediately.
