Pasta and Sauce

Method

Cooking Instructions

1

Cook the Pasta

In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil. Add the cavatappi pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

2

Sauté the Mushrooms

In a large skillet over medium heat, melt the butter. Add the sliced mushrooms and sauté for about 5-7 minutes, or until they are golden brown and have released their moisture.

3

Add Garlic

Add minced garlic to the skillet and sauté for another 2 minutes until fragrant.

4

Prepare the Alfredo Sauce

Lower the heat and pour in the heavy cream. Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese, salt, and black pepper. Cook for 3-5 minutes, stirring frequently, until the sauce thickens.

5

Combine Pasta and Sauce

Add the cooked cavatappi pasta to the skillet. Toss well to coat the pasta with the Alfredo sauce and mushrooms.

6

Garnish and Serve

Remove from heat and garnish with chopped parsley. Serve warm.
