Instructions for Making Irish Coffee

  1. 1

    Prepare the Glass

Warm a heat-resistant glass or Irish coffee mug by filling it with hot water for a few minutes. Discard the water once the glass is warm.

  2. 2

    Combine Whiskey and Sugar

Add the Irish whiskey and demerara sugar to the warm glass. Stir until the sugar is fully dissolved.

  3. 3

    Add Coffee

Pour in the freshly brewed coffee, leaving some space at the top for the cream. Stir gently to combine.

  4. 4

    Top with Cream

Carefully pour the heavy cream over the back of a spoon to float it on top of the coffee mixture. This creates a layered effect.

  5. 5

    Garnish and Serve

Garnish with coffee beans if desired. Serve immediately and enjoy your Irish Coffee!
