Candied Pork Chop

Method

Directions

  1. 1

    Marinate the Pork Chops

In a large bowl, mix the soy sauce, brown sugar, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Add the pork chops and coat well. Cover and marinate in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour, preferably overnight.

  2. 2

    Prepare the Bacon

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). In a skillet, cook the bacon until crispy. Remove and drain on paper towels, reserving some bacon fat in the skillet.

  3. 3

    Cook the Pork Chops

In the same skillet with bacon fat, sear the marinated pork chops over medium-high heat for about 3-4 minutes on each side until browned.

  4. 4

    Add Bacon and Cheese

Once the pork chops are seared, sprinkle cooked bacon and Parmesan cheese on top of each chop.

  5. 5

    Bake

Transfer the pork chops to a baking dish and bake in the preheated oven for about 20-25 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 145°F (63°C).

  6. 6

    Serve

Serve the candied pork chops hot, ideally paired with roasted garlic mashed potatoes.
