Preparation Instructions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Bananas

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). In a mixing bowl, mash the ripe bananas until smooth.

  2. 2

    Combine Wet Ingredients

Add Cruzan® Black Strap Rum, banana liqueur, demerara sugar, and walnut bitters to the mashed bananas. Mix until well combined.

  3. 3

    Mix Dry Ingredients

In a separate bowl, combine 2 cups of all-purpose flour, 1 tsp of baking soda, and a pinch of salt.

  4. 4

    Combine Wet and Dry Ingredients

Gradually add the dry mixture to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined. Do not overmix.

  5. 5

    Prepare the Baking Pan

Grease a loaf pan with butter or line it with parchment paper.

  6. 6

    Bake the Bread

Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and bake for about 60-70 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

  7. 7

    Cool and Serve

Remove from the oven and let the banana bread cool in the pan for about 10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely. Slice and serve.
