Preparation

  1. 1

    Preheat the Oven

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

  2. 2

    Clean the Mushrooms

Gently clean the mushrooms with a damp cloth and remove the stems. Set the caps aside and finely chop the stems.

Making the Filling

  1. 3

Sauté the Garlic and Mushroom Stems

In a skillet over medium heat, add a small amount of olive oil. Add the chopped mushroom stems and minced garlic. Sauté for about 3-4 minutes until softened.

  2. 4

    Mix the Stuffing

In a mixing bowl, combine the sautéed mushroom stems and garlic with cream cheese, parsley, thyme, Parmesan cheese, salt, and black pepper. Mix until well combined.

Stuffing the Mushrooms

  1. 5

    Fill the Mushroom Caps

Using a spoon, fill each mushroom cap generously with the stuffing mixture.

Topping and Baking

  1. 6

    Prepare the Topping

In a small bowl, mix together breadcrumbs and olive oil until the breadcrumbs are evenly coated.

  2. 7

    Top and Bake

Sprinkle the breadcrumb mixture over the stuffed mushrooms. Place the stuffed mushrooms on a baking sheet and bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the tops are golden brown.

Serving

  1. 8

    Serve Warm

Remove the stuffed mushrooms from the oven and let them cool for a few minutes before serving. Enjoy warm as an appetizer!
