Method
Preparing the Chicken
- 1
Grill the Chicken
Season the boneless, skinless chicken breasts with olive oil, salt, and black pepper. Preheat a grill or grill pan over medium-high heat. Grill the chicken for about 6-7 minutes on each side or until fully cooked and internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C). Remove from heat and let rest for a few minutes, then slice into strips.
Cooking the Pasta
- 2
Boil the Fettuccine
In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil. Add the fettuccine pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente, usually about 8-10 minutes. Drain the pasta, reserving about 1 cup of the pasta water.
Making the Alfredo Sauce
- 3
Prepare the Sauce
In a large saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1-2 minutes until fragrant. Slowly pour in the heavy cream, stirring continuously. Bring the mixture to a gentle simmer and cook for about 5 minutes, allowing it to thicken slightly. Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese until melted and smooth. Season with salt and black pepper to taste.
Combining Everything
- 4
Toss Pasta and Chicken
Add the drained fettuccine pasta to the Alfredo sauce and toss until the pasta is well coated. If the sauce is too thick, add a little reserved pasta water until desired consistency is reached. Finally, add the sliced grilled chicken on top of the pasta.
Serving
- 5
Garnish and Serve
Serve the Chicken Alfredo hot, garnished with chopped parsley. Enjoy your delicious meal!
