Preparation Steps

  1. 1

    Cook the Bacon

In a skillet over medium heat, cook the bacon until crispy. Remove and let drain on paper towels.

  2. 2

    Grill the Patties

In the same skillet, cook the sirloin patties for about 3-4 minutes on each side, or until they reach your desired doneness. Add a slice of cheese on top of each patty during the last minute of cooking to allow it to melt.

  3. 3

    Toast the Bread

While the patties are cooking, in a separate pan, lightly butter each side of the white bread slices and toast them until golden brown on both sides.

  4. 4

    Assemble the Melt

On one slice of toasted bread, place one patty with melted cheese, followed by two slices of bacon, sliced tomato, pickles, and a generous amount of homemade burger sauce. Top with another slice of toasted bread, then add the second patty with cheese, followed by the remaining bacon, tomato, pickles, and sauce. Finish with the last slice of toasted bread.

  5. 5

    Serve

Cut the sandwich in half and serve warm with your choice of sides.
