Chili Cheeseburger Recipe
The most elaborate of the Basic Burgers, this 8-ounce flame-grilled ground sirloin patty is also topped with Spicy Beef Chili or Tasty Turkey Chili and shredded jack & cheddar cheese, served on a toasted burger bun.

Prepare the Patty
In a mixing bowl, combine ground sirloin, salt, and black pepper. Form the mixture into two equal 8-ounce patties.

Warm the Chili
While the patties are grilling, heat the spicy beef chili or turkey chili in a saucepan over medium heat until warmed through.

Melt the Cheese
During the last minute of grilling, place a mixture of shredded jack and cheddar cheese on top of each patty. Close the grill lid to melt the cheese.

Toast the Buns
Lightly toast the burger buns on the grill or in a toaster until golden brown.

Assemble the Burgers
Place each cheesy patty on a toasted bun, spoon a generous amount of chili over the cheese, and add any optional toppings such as lettuce, tomato, or onion. Top with the other half of the bun.
