Pickling Ingredients

Method

Pickling Process

  1. 1

    Prepare the Cucumbers

Wash the cucumbers thoroughly and slice them into spears or rounds, depending on your preference.

  2. 2

    Make the Brine

In a saucepan, combine water, white vinegar, salt, sugar, garlic, dill weed, black peppercorns, red pepper flakes, and mustard seeds. Bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring until the salt and sugar dissolve.

  3. 3

    Pack the Jar

Place the sliced cucumbers into a clean glass jar. Pour the hot brine over the cucumbers, ensuring they are fully submerged. Leave about half an inch of space at the top of the jar.

  4. 4

    Seal and Cool

Seal the jar tightly with a lid and let it cool to room temperature. Once cooled, refrigerate for at least 24 hours to allow the flavors to meld.

  5. 5

    Enjoy

After 24 hours, your pickles will be ready to enjoy! They can be kept in the refrigerator for several weeks.
