Tiramisu Directions
- 1
Prepare the Espresso Mixture
In a shallow bowl, combine the espresso and dark rum. Set aside to cool.
- 2
Soak the Ladyfingers
Quickly dip each ladyfinger into the espresso mixture, ensuring they are soaked but not soggy. Arrange half of the soaked ladyfingers in a single layer in a 9x9 inch dish.
- 3
Make the Mascarpone Mixture
In a large bowl, whisk together the mascarpone cheese, heavy cream, sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth and creamy.
- 4
Layer the Tiramisu
Spread half of the mascarpone mixture over the first layer of ladyfingers. Repeat with another layer of soaked ladyfingers and the remaining mascarpone mixture on top.
- 5
Chill and Serve
Cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight. Before serving, dust with cocoa powder and garnish with chocolate-covered espresso beans.
