Prepare the Mussels
Clean the mussels under cold running water, scrubbing the shells and removing any beards.

Add Tomatoes and Anisette
Stir in the diced tomatoes, anisette, salt, and black pepper. Cook for another 5 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld.

Steam the Mussels
Add the cleaned mussels to the pot, cover, and steam for 5-7 minutes or until the mussels have opened.

Finish with Cream
Reduce the heat to low and stir in the heavy cream. Let the mixture simmer for an additional 2-3 minutes, then remove from heat. Stir in chopped parsley.

Prepare Focaccia
While the mussels are cooking, grill or toast the focaccia bread until golden brown.

Serve the creamy tomato mussels in bowls with the grilled focaccia on the side for dipping.
