Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Select and Arrange Cheeses

Choose a selection of local cheeses, including aged cheddar, brie, gorgonzola, and goat cheese. Cut the aged cheddar and gorgonzola into small cubes, and slice the brie and goat cheese into wedges.

  2. 2

    Prepare the Bread

Slice the baguette into thin rounds or diagonal slices. If using, arrange the crackers in a small pile or spread them out on a serving platter.

  3. 3

    Prepare Accompaniments

Wash and dry fresh fruits like grapes or figs. Arrange them on the platter alongside the cheeses. Place honey in a small dish for drizzling and add a small bowl of mixed nuts.

Serving

  1. 4

    Assemble the Platter

On a large serving board or platter, arrange the cheeses in different sections. Place the sliced baguette and crackers around the cheeses.

  2. 5

    Add Accompaniments

Add the bowl of honey and the dish of nuts to the platter. Fill in any gaps with fresh fruits for an appealing presentation.

  3. 6

    Serve

Serve immediately at room temperature, allowing guests to help themselves to the cheese and accompaniments.
