In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the heavy cream, whole milk, and granulated sugar until the sugar is fully dissolved.

Stir in the vanilla extract and a pinch of salt to enhance the flavors.

Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate the mixture for at least 2 hours, or overnight for best results.
Churning the Ice Cream

Pour the chilled mixture into an ice cream maker and churn according to the manufacturer's instructions, usually about 20-25 minutes.
