Method

Brewing the Tea

  1. 1

    Boil the Water

In a large pot, bring 4 cups of water to a boil over medium-high heat.

  2. 2

    Steep the Tea

Once the water is boiling, remove it from the heat and add 4 tablespoons of loose black tea leaves. Cover and let steep for 5-7 minutes.

  3. 3

    Strain the Tea

After steeping, strain the tea through a fine mesh strainer into a heatproof pitcher to remove the tea leaves.

Flavoring the Tea

  1. 4

    Add Lilikoi Puree

Stir in 1 cup of Lilikoi (passion fruit) puree into the brewed tea until well combined.

  2. 5

    Sweeten the Tea

Add 1 tablespoon of honey or sugar to the tea and stir until dissolved. Adjust sweetness to taste.

  3. 6

    Add Mint Leaves

Toss in the fresh mint leaves to the mixture for added flavor. Let the tea sit for another 5 minutes.

Serving the Tea

  1. 7

    Prepare Glasses

Fill each serving glass with ice cubes (about 1 cup per glass).

  2. 8

    Pour the Tea

Pour the brewed and flavored tea over the ice cubes in each glass.

  3. 9

    Garnish

Garnish with lemon slices on the rim of the glass and serve immediately.
