Method
Preparing the Walleye

Season the Fillets
Pat the walleye fillets dry with a paper towel. Season both sides with salt and black pepper.

Pan-Sear the Fillets
In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Once hot, place the fillets in the skillet skin-side down. Cook for about 4-5 minutes until the skin is crispy. Flip the fillets and cook for an additional 3-4 minutes until the fish is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork.
Making the Lemon Caper Butter

Prepare the Butter Sauce
In a small saucepan, melt the unsalted butter over low heat. Stir in fresh lemon juice and capers. Allow to simmer for 2-3 minutes, then remove from heat and stir in chopped parsley.
Cooking the Cilantro Rice

Prepare the Rice
In a medium saucepan, combine white rice and water. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for 15-20 minutes or until the rice is tender and water is absorbed.
