Preparation
- 1
Marinate the Chicken
In a bowl, combine olive oil, salt, black pepper, and garlic powder. Add the chicken breasts and coat them evenly with the marinade. Let them marinate for at least 30 minutes.
- 2
Prepare Vegetables
Wash the lettuce leaves and pat them dry. Slice the tomato into thin rounds.
Cooking
- 3
Grill the Chicken
Preheat your grill or grill pan over medium-high heat. Once hot, place the marinated chicken breasts on the grill. Grill for about 6-7 minutes on each side or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C).
- 4
Toast the Bread
While the chicken is grilling, you can toast the sandwich rolls or burger buns on the grill for about 1-2 minutes until they are golden brown.
Assembly
- 5
Assemble the Sandwich
Once the chicken is cooked, assemble the sandwich by spreading 2 tablespoons of mayonnaise on each toasted roll. Place a grilled chicken breast on the bottom half, add lettuce leaves, and top with tomato slices. Close the sandwich with the top half of the roll.
