- 2
Melt Chocolate and Butter
In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the dark chocolate and unsalted butter. Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring in between, until completely melted and smooth. Let it cool slightly.
Mixing Ingredients
- 3
Combine Sugar, Eggs, and Vanilla
In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the granulated sugar, large eggs, large egg yolks, and vanilla extract until well combined and slightly frothy.
- 4
Incorporate Chocolate Mixture
Slowly pour the melted chocolate mixture into the egg mixture, stirring continuously to combine.
- 5
Add Flour and Salt
Sift the all-purpose flour and salt into the chocolate-egg mixture. Gently fold until just combined; do not overmix.
Baking
- 6
Fill Ramekins
Divide the batter evenly among the prepared ramekins, filling each about 3/4 full.
- 7
Bake
Place the ramekins in the preheated oven and bake for 12-14 minutes, or until the edges are firm but the center is still soft.
- 8
Cool Slightly
Remove the ramekins from the oven and let them cool for 1-2 minutes. Carefully run a knife around the edges to loosen the cakes.
