Method
Prepare the Salad Base
- 1
Wash and Chop Romaine
Rinse the romaine lettuce thoroughly under cold water. Drain and dry with a salad spinner or pat with paper towels. Chop the lettuce into bite-sized pieces and place it in a large salad bowl.
Make the Caesar Dressing
- 2
Mix Ingredients
In a medium bowl, combine the mayonnaise, minced garlic (finely chop the cloves), lemon juice, Worcestershire sauce, and Parmesan cheese. Whisk together until smooth.
- 3
Season the Dressing
Add salt and black pepper to the dressing mixture, adjusting to taste. Set aside.
Prepare the Croutons
- 4
Preheat Oven
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- 5
Cut and Season Bread
Cut the bread into small cubes (about 1-inch). In a large bowl, combine the bread cubes with olive oil, garlic powder, and salt. Toss to coat evenly.
- 6
Bake Croutons
Spread the bread cubes in a single layer on a baking sheet. Bake for 10-15 minutes or until golden brown, turning halfway through the baking time. Remove from oven and let cool.
Assemble the Salad
- 7
Combine Ingredients
Add the chopped romaine lettuce to a large serving bowl. Drizzle the Caesar dressing over the lettuce and toss to coat evenly.
- 8
Add Toppings
Sprinkle the shredded Parmesan cheese and croutons over the top of the salad. Toss gently to combine.
